Our Story

Our story began in 2011 when filmmaker Richard Shaw established Unity House.

Driven by a passion for storytelling, Unity House started producing short-form content for charities, museums and galleries.

In 2020, our main focus shifted to long-form broadcast documentaries, principally in the areas of arts and history.

Our Approach

We pride ourselves on being a small, dynamic company. Made up of two directors, Richard Shaw and Nicola Schofield, Unity House is able to produce films that challenge audiences and explore untold stories.

As well as working on commissioned films, we also initiate our own projects in-house. These are distributed around the world through our sales agent.
